Danish Design & Production
The mission of our furniture collection and production, is always to create furniture of high quality with a strong design profile. All of our furniture is made in Denmark by skilled carpenters. JENSENplus is known for creating furniture with a high durability. We call that sustainable. By focusing on durability and a long lifetime, in every single furniture we produce, it secures that your money is well spend because you can practically pass on any JENSENplus furniture for future generations. Our furniture has a strong wear and tear which secures a beautify look after many years of use. We only use natural materials as wood, concrete, steel and leather. The focus in every design is always to cut off ‘noise’ and keep all furniture simple and minimalistic. This creates the perfect setting for the work environment and your private home.
Made in Denmark
The Danish production is part of our DNA. Whenever you buy a table, a chair or a candlestick you can be sure of that every product from JENSENplus is made in Denmark. We have proud traditions for professional craftsmanship. Our furniture is made by talented Danish carpenters, boilermakers and upholsterers.
Custom made furniture
We have access to furniture production every day because the workshop lies in the same building as our company. This makes us very flexible and specialized in materials and furniture constructions. We are proud to offer special made furniture as receptions and desks. Or a table in customized length and dept. The mix of interesting materials becomes possible and the understanding of how to produce long lasting furniture, made and created for people, are a natural part of our everyday life.
Collaboration with Danish Architects
At JENSENplus we have a close cooperation with skilled Danish architects who combines functionality with simple design – this is where the furniture magic happens.
Meet architect Lars Vejen
Lars Vejen is not wild or fluttering in the look and shape of his designs. Instead he likes to create classic quality and simple designs. However, he still manages to add a uniqueness to the designs which makes them stand out from the crowd. Lars works far away from everything that has to do with trends. He prefers to create products that have a timeless look and a long lifespan – so long that you will hopefully get to see his products in flea markets years from now. The inspiration for Lars’ designs comes from his vivid and diverse everyday life. He travels a lot outside the borders of Danmark both privately and in connecting with his work. For example, the ’HOYO’ designs are inspired by his many trips to Japan. Often the ideas start out as just a drawing or a single stroke that in the end can become a product or a part of a project.
Meet architect Mikkel Bahr from Friis & Moltke
The keyword of Mikkel Bahr’s designs is simplicity – in both the expression and the production. And yet he still manages to add a little bit of crookedness to his products that gives them personality and recognisability. Mikkel’s designs are created for those who want the office furniture to stand out. The products are often more informal in their looks than the furniture you normally see in office environments and that is not coincidental. Because the informality of his designs expands the target group of the products and is the reason why for example K2 Meeting works just as well in the dining room as in the meeting room. The ideas behind the products happen intuitively and in close cooperation with JENSENplus. The ideas are constantly there and Mikkel is always working on new products along with us. However, it’s only the very best that are brought to life. Mikkel often gets the inspiration through his interior decoration projects for Friis & Moltke design, where he works on a daily basis. Here he manages to spot what’s missing in the decoration or situations where it would be possible to create innovative designs. Furthermore, these projects allow him to see how the products are used in the interior decoration and that has been proven useful in the design process as well.
